Fluffy Dog Studio is a small independent game studio founded in Vancouver, Canada. Now fully remote, we have employees across North America (plus one sneaky Kiwi). Fluffy Dog aims to create story-filled worlds while fostering a creative studio environment that believes that diversity and inclusivity means strength (over 40% of our workers are female-identified and cultural backgrounds vary significantly).
Fluffy Dog is looking for a Content Intern. You will work closely with our Content Leads, Producer, Art, QA, and Programming teams to ensure that day-to-day website content launches smoothly. Our ideal candidate would enjoy both technical tasks like data entry, and creative assignments like new site items and prize creation! As this is an entry-level position, we highly recommend that you attach a cover letter to set yourself apart from the other candidates!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside our Content Leads on uploading new content through our proprietary CMS tool
- Help manage day-to-day website content
- Contribute creative campaign ideas and assist in their implementation
- Assisting in the development and execution of new site items
- Judge weekly site contests
- Coordinate with production, art, and programming teams to ensure that deliverables meet deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc)
- Experience in art, design, game development, marketing, or a related field and/or equivalent academic experience
- Being a dynamic and enthusiastic creative who can multitask and troubleshoot when needed
- Highly responsible, self-motivated, dependable, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, creative, and fun environment
- Have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
- Team player, with a strong sense of ownership and a ‘get things done’ attitude
- A strong writer with excellent editing capabilities
BONUSES:
- 1+ years of experience working in video games or entertainment
- 1+ years of experience working in any art-related and/or editing field
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or equivalent task-tracking software
- Familiarity with Animate CC, but this could be taught
- Familiarity of Neopets (game, culture, and brand) is a major plus!
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $22.50 per hour
