Job Description:
We are seeking highly self-motivated, customer focused, team-oriented software/system engineer student to work for our Systems Integration and Information Technology group. The internship offered will allow the student to participate in several stages of application development and to become familiar with the software development processes used within an engineering company.
The individual should have an interest constructing and integrating applications and information systems for process automation and industrial manufacturing.
What will you do?

Participate in Designing and developing software for industrial users, mostly in C#, for desktop applications or windows services

Provide consulting services in the context of information systems, control systems and enterprise systems integration.

Solve technical, organizational, and management problems involving information management - collecting information, transforming and presenting information.

In general, the student will be expected to contribute to the development of applications in the context of projects for clients. The student may also be asked to work on internal projects and tools. In some cases, the intern will be asked to program new applications and in other cases, to improve existing applications. These applications may be connected to the Foxboro system or may be other types of applications (web, Windows service, scripts, etc.) that will become an integral part of the systems provided to clients.
Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful?

Currently pursing degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology Engineering, at internship level S-2 or S-3

Experience in programming: Software development in C# or Java, Microsoft .NET technologies, C++ is an asset

Experience in the software development life cycle, SDLC.

Experience in process automation (DCS, PLC, etc.) is an asset

Experience with configuration management system (Git, Jira)

Experience with databases and their applications (SQL Server)

Experience with Wonderware products (HMI, Historian) is an asset.

Have an interest in the development and integration of applications and information systems for process automation and industrial manufacturing.
