Our Spare headquarters is located in Vancouver, BC, but this position is open to remote work options within Canada. We prefer to hire a student on an 6-to-7 month co-op ending in December; however we're also open to 4-month terms for the right candidate!

We are hiring a Marketing Co-op to join our Marketing Team! As our Marketing Co-op, you will assist in the following areas:

Social media management
Web content management
General team support

About The Role

Social Media Management

Assist with the management of our social media channels by creating and scheduling content;
Respond to comments and inquiries;
Monitor analytics to optimize performance.

Web Content Management

Work with product marketing, and content marketing, and PR to regularly update and refresh our website content to ensure it aligns with our current campaigns, promotions, and brand messaging;
Develop landing pages to support marketing campaigns.

Marketing Campaign Support

Support email marketing by writing and deploying emails to our target audiences, leveraging A/B analysis to optimize open, click-through rates and and other conversion metrics;
Assist with the development of sales tools including slides and one-pagers;
Execute event logistics, both virtual and in-person;
Support and manage basic digital marketing;
Support proposal development.

About You

Currently completing a diploma or degree program in Business, Marketing, or other related field
Must be co-op work placement or internship eligible (due to grant funding requirements)
Previous work or co-op experience in Marketing
Social Media Management - knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram; experience with social media in a B2B or B2C setting
Communication skills - excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in business tools - comfortable working in Google G-Suite, particularly Google Slides
Time management - ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Teamwork - ability to work with a high-performing marketing team
Adaptability - capacity to adapt to changing priorities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in at tech company or digital marketing experience are considered assets!
