Position Summary
We are looking for a Finance Intern for the months of May 2025 to August 2025 based out of our Purina office at 2500 Royal Windsor Drive Mississauga, Ontario You will have the opportunity to partner on key projects from various facets of our business, such as financial planning and analysis, accounting, or control.

A day in the life of a Finance Intern
As a Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects of finance. You will work in Financial Planning & Analysis, Control. You will have the opportunity to:
- Work on developing/revamping monthly reports with a focus on variance analysis, performance monitoring to support prudent decision making. You will need to leverage your knowledge of Power BI and/or Python while working on these reports.
- Understand how inbound freight cost impacts COGS. How freight is calculated, analysis of freight cost.
- Interact with cross functional groups, create annual budget models, conduct scenario analyses and make presentations

As the successful candidate, you will be a proactive problem solver, driving innovation with new or unique solutions. You will inspire those around you and demonstrate a proactive approach in your work. You can already see the story behind the numbers and will have the opportunity to act like an owner by bringing value for our brands and customers. Additionally, you are a highly organized individual who isn’t afraid to ask questions, be continuously curious and inquisitive.
You will also:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or any other related field.
- Have involvement in extracurricular activities which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
- Have strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Agile, innovative, and results focused individual who is comfortable working within a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Have experience working with Power BI. Proficient in creating interactive dashboards and reports, data modelling, and data visualization.
- Knowledge of Python is a plus.
