We envision a world where every explorer can confidently navigate any terrain – whether on trails, worksites, or the moon. We’re not finished until our solutions are as essential as GPS. Here’s the problem we are facing: Machine learning applications have taken the automotive industry by storm, but these methods are difficult to directly transfer to an off-road setting. Objects and surfaces are well defined for street driving vehicles, whereas off-road is still not well defined. Our team is developing machine learning solutions, integrated with an advanced perception sensor stack, to give our customers confidence in the most uncertain terrains. We need someone to aid in the development and testing of these complex solutions. This role will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge AI system. You will gain hands-on experience in the critical phases of data collection, preparation, and labeling, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our AI models. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced data scientists and gain practical insights into the world of artificial intelligence. - Data Collection: This is the fun part. We collect data from side by sides, motorcycles, and pickup trucks. You will be able to contribute to getting behind the wheel and collecting some data yourself !
- Data Preparation: Clean, transform, and organize raw data into a suitable format for AI model training. Handle data inconsistencies and missing values
- Data Labeling: Annotate and label data to train machine learning models. Maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in labeling tasks
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and engineers to understand project requirements and contribute to the development process
- Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of data collection, preparation, and labeling processes
Who we are looking for
- 3rd year (or higher) towards a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Understanding of data manipulation and cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with data labelling processes
- Knowledge of Computer Vision and Machine Learning techniques
