This position reports to
Proposals Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Reporting to the Proposals Manager, this role will be important in providing support to proposals and spare parts team growing business volume. Speed up the spare parts quotation process, help in standardized pricing and improvement in quotation process will be key KPI for the hired individual.
This individual will assist in driving spare parts growth by ensuring standardized pricing documentation are in place for quick submission to customer. Key attributes for success will be organizational, communication and time management skills.
This role is contributing to the Electrification division of ABB and is located in Brampton.
The work model is hybrid with 2 days per week at the office.
Responsibilities:
• Support existing spare parts team by collaborating with different stake holder like suppliers, ABB internal units, customer etc to improve quotation process.
• Collect various data on ABB and non-ABB spare parts, products, costing and help in development of quick pricing sheets/quotes.
• Support spare parts team in arranging and colleting various documents needed for quotation purposes.
• Work on developing pricing sheet for various spare parts and standardized services like breaker’s Refurbishment, Roll in Retrofits etc.
• Help to manage proposal documents, categorization for different uses for quotation purposes.
• Assist in building pricing tools, estimators, and standardized pricing to enable better efficiency of the proposals team.
Qualifications for the role
- Preferably undergraduate student of Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
- Communication is key for this position. Individual should have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adopt to various working cultures.
- Self-Motivated, Quick Learning and career interest in Marketing and Business management.
- Computer skills (Microsoft word and Excel or database skills).
- Strong safety focus and safety attitude always required.
- Willingness to expand knowledge base to continually grow needed skills for success.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
