About The Role
This role is an excellent opportunity for a student with a strong interest in software quality assurance and automation to gain hands-on experience in a high-growth fintech startup. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to help ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
This opportunity is open to students who are currently enrolled andor returning to school after the internship. This is a full-time internship starting in January 2025.
We are looking for a QA Engineer Intern to join our team for a 12-month continuous internship, but we understand that a 4-month + 4-month schedule might work better for many students.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for product features and components.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Help identify, report, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and thorough regression testing.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams, build and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Monitor test automation results and assist in performinganalyzing rRoot cause analysis
Who We’re Looking For
- You’re currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program in your third or fourth year.
- A strong interest in software testing and automation.
- Basic understanding of programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
