What role you will play in our team

Are you a student enrolled in a diploma program who is motivated to join Imperial for a 4-month term? If you are passionate about continuous improvement, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity within the Business Support team for our Kearl Operations. You will get to use your knowledge to support our many continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to our asset’s overall strategic objectives

What you will do

  • Provide Support to a variety of Continuous Improvement Projects and Initiatives across Business Support & Training teams.
  • Utilize software such as Sharepoint, Smartsheets, Power BI, Nintex etc. to manage and visualize data. Promote relevant technologies to effectively facilitate support.
  • Support executing or overseeing key Business & Administrative Support processes.
  • Understand structure and operation for Imperial and role organization plays
  • Actively seek out ad hoc responsibilities

About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant diploma program and returning to school after completion of the role.

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Prior experience with Data Analytics
  • Prior Experience with software such as Sharepoint, Nintex, Smartsheets, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Dependent contributor, developing into Independent contributor
  • Show capability to work independently
  • Take initiative in learning own role & job expectations
  • Develop generalist type scope of responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively and cooperatively to achieve team’s goals – includes constant communication to build trust and relationships
  • Pro-actively interact with teams in an approachable manner to welcome and answer questions or address issues – being available
  • Welcome and provide feedback and guidance for continued development

Eligibility to work in Canada
