The Role

Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Recruitment Intern to join our Global Recruitment team! Reporting to the Manager, Global Recruitment, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of recruitment projects and initiatives, supporting business units across the globe.

The Recruitment Intern will receive well-rounded exposure to numerous areas of recruiting, including process mapping, reporting, employer branding, and diversity & inclusion. Additionally, you will learn how Talent Acquisition supports the overall organization and gain insights into working in a Human Resources role in a fast paced, growing technology company.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be available to work full time for a period of one year.

What You’ll Be Doing

Recruitment Coordination

  • Work with our recruiters to schedule candidate interviews with hiring teams
  • Track candidate feedback in Workday
  • Liaise with recruitment affiliates to ensure postings are up to date on partner job boards

Administration

  • Draft offer letters for full time and student hires
  • Help facilitate employee and contractor onboarding
  • Reporting and tracking KPI’s for the recruitment team
  • Assist Early Careers Program Lead with funding applications to colleges and universities

Recruitment Operations

  • Maintain job requisitions in Workday to ensure they are kept up to date
  • Own the integration of new tools to help streamline hiring process
  • Create, maintain, and update recruitment process documentation

Required

The Skillset:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of ethical integrity in relation to confidential information
  • Comfortable communicating in a professional manner across all levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail and follow strict data integrity practices
  • Ability to be flexible and take on ad hoc responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin tasks independently
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity of applicant tracking and CRM systems (e.g. Workday, Beamery)
  • Knowledge of recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor
  • Relevant prior internship experience
