About The Role

As Events & Program Intern, you will significantly enhance the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) team’s operational efficiency and productivity. You will be responsible for providing support in handling administrative tasks, fostering creative ideas, and ensuring organizational support. This internship would be an excellent foundation for learning about the music business and our major events planning process, all while working in a fast-paced environment. The dynamic nature of the CSHF ensures that you will be constantly engaged and challenged, fostering personal and professional growth throughout your internship journey. This is an opportunity to learn and grow within the Canadian music industry, network with industry professionals, work with globally known brands, and make meaningful contributions to the Hall of Fame's initiatives. We offer a rewarding experience that will lay a solid foundation for future endeavours within the Canadian Music Industry.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the planning of the 2024 CSHF Gala and CSHF initiatives such as the Indigenous Song Camp & Breakthrough Songwriter Award
  • Involvement in the planning of Song & Score Week, a large-scale festival with ample programming for emerging music creators from across the country
  • Assist with social media, marketing and PR campaigns
  • Assist with research on CSHF inductees and performers
  • Ticketing and VIP invitations
  • Other administrative tasks as required

What You Will Bring / Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in/recently graduated from an Event Planning, Music Industry, or Marketing and Communications program
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Marketing and social media experience (an asset)
  • Experience with Photoshop and WordPress
