OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Reference Data Summer Associate to join our team at BAM for Summer 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and maintaining reference data sets across various financial systems and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage and maintain reference data sets across various financial systems
· Monitor and review data quality and resolve any inconsistencies or errors in a timely manner
· Develop and maintain procedures for validating reference data and ensuring data integrity
· Work with various teams to understand their reference data requirements and provide guidance on data usage
· Identify and document any data-related issues and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders
· Collaborate with technology teams to implement new reference data sets, data models and hierarchies
· Continuously improve reference data processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Solid understanding of financial instruments, securities, and market data
· Experience with SQL or other relational database management systems
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
· Detail-oriented personality and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies
