The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Halifax, is looking to hire a winter co-op student to assist our branch in the continued migration to Salesforce, as well as providing assistance in various aspects of the day to day operations. This role is entirely administrative and requires the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure of daily deadlines, and keep organized while working under frequent interruption and attention to detail.
What will you do?
The duties will include Salesforce support for teams, as well as additional administrative duties which will depend on the demand of the Branch Operations, Management Team and Advisory Teams. Responsibilities may be some or all of the following:
- Support our advisory teams with the migration to our new CRM platform, Salesforce which was recently rolled out. The successful candidate will be required to complete various internal training assignments in order to gain the required knowledge on the platform, and in turn provide support to the individual teams.
- Support our branch management, branch operations and advisory teams as assigned
- Branch Operations:
- Transaction processing such as processing wire payments, depositing and issuing cheques, documentation processing and internal transfers.
- Assisting in mail runs and maintaining office supplies
- Liaise with back office contacts to investigate and resolve inquiries related to accounts and account transactions
- Assisting Management Team on projects assigned
- Assisting Advisory teams on projects assigned, that may include and not limited to
- Collecting documentation from clients
- Assisting in maintaining and organizing client records
- Assisting in marketing for the team

Must-have
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
- Professionalism and ability to manage highly confidential information
- Exceptional attention to detail and mature/positive attitude
- Excellent people skills, ability to manage different personalities
Nice-to-have
- Experience using Salesforce
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook Mail/Calendar
- Financial industry experience
- Completion of CSC and CPH
