Livestock Improvement Corporation's (LIC) research group is engaged in a range of projects to help keep our farmers and their businesses at the forefront of the global dairy industry. Our Research and Development team, who are extensively published, are working on many aspects of genomics, breeding scheme design, semen quality, reproduction, animal health, statistics, machine learning and pasture measurement from satellite.
We are working with Callaghan Innovation to provide a series of summer internships working in a range of areas from laboratory work, genetic analysis to data science and modelling using both in house and cloud computing resources.
The internship is a paid opportunity for a period of 10 weeks (up to 400 hours) and students will be required to submit a report at the end.
