Working as a Reporting Automation Developer Student, you will be involved in the development of back-end applications. You will work on software for a variety of automation applications. This includes requirements, feasibility, design and development, integration, designer verification, test and deployment support. You will be provided with the unique opportunity to gain experience with software development with an industry leader.
Location: Waterloo, ON
Length of Term: 4 Months
What you will do
Responsibilities include the design, implementation, maintenance and support of back-end software solutions in Service Engineering and Operations.
Who we are looking for
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related post-secondary program
Experience developing object-oriented and web applications, and a general knowledge of how they work
Experience working with API’s and relational databases and SQL
Practical experience with Python, AngularJS, JavaScript, .NET, and PHP (or ASP.NET)
Exposure to real time operating systems and Active Directory \ Access Management
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Resourceful self-starter who can collaborate
Above and beyond
Tools: Excel, QlikView, Grafana
Systems: GIT, MSSQL\MySQL, VMware, Linux, JIRA
Active Directory \ Access Management
Python • Front end wizardry - HTML, CSS, and any other relevant "web 2.0 skills” (Bootstrap, AJAX, etc.)
Exposure to software design, client-server, and multi-threaded concepts are additional assets
