The goal of the program is to broaden the exposure of all disciplines to the possibilities of working at OVG - whether that is venue, HR, IT, Marketing, etc. We want to give OVG interns a greater understanding of venue management through formal training along with real-life experiences in the field with their teams. The program includes an International Association of Venue Management (IAVM) textbook, access to resources on the IAVM site, and roughly 8 training sessions led by experts in venue management.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.50.

- Support all client deliverables related to sponsorship strategy and brand strategy
- Support the development of strategic sponsorship evaluations and presentations
- Perform research to help craft client proposals
- Industry trend research (latest deals, spends, emerging brands, etc.)
- Participate in day-to-day client communication as needed
- Maintain the pulse on industry trends and category developments
- Best practices - tracking and analysis
- Brand and partner whitespace analysis
- Marketing material creation (decks, imagery books, etc.)
- Assist with administrative duties and office management
- Preference; enrolled or graduated from a Canadian degree or diploma program in Business (Marketing, Communications, Commerce) or Sport Management or relevant field.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Positive team player with an eagerness to learn and an affinity for building strong relationships
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Self-starter and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Curiosity for and desire to learn more about the business of sport, and the sponsorship industry.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
