As a E-commerce Merchandising Intern, you will have a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of e-commerce merchandising. Working closely with our experienced team, you will play a vital role in curating, refining, and optimizing our product offerings on our website. This internship will provide you with insights into the intricacies of online merchandising, customer behavior analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assist merchandising to maximize online sales and achieve business goals.
- Upload and manage product information, including images, descriptions, pricing, and inventory levels, on the website's content management system (CMS).
- Monitor website analytics and sales performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to ensure our product presentation, pricing, and promotions remain competitive in the market.
- Curate and organize product categories, collections, and featured sections to enhance customer navigation and discovery.
- Optimize search and navigation functionality to enhance the customer's ability to find and explore products effectively.
- Support the merchandising team in maintaining accurate inventory levels and coordinating with the fulfillment team.
- Assist in the refinement of product descriptions, ensuring they are engaging, accurate, and align with our brand's tone and style.
- Validate product lists with relevant stakeholders, ensuring accuracy for use in emails and other online communications.
- Participate in the process of sequencing online products, considering factors such as seasonality, trends, and promotions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual presentation.
- Basic understanding of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) and e-commerce platforms is an asset.
- Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and product information management (PIM) systems is a plus.
- Understanding of Micrsoft Office and Google Tools like Powerpoint, Slides, Sheets, Excel is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is advantageous but not compulsory.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
