
What role you will play in our team
The Environmental Engineering Student is responsible for supporting the Environmental Team for the Nanticoke refinery in ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
What you will do
Examples of specific responsibilities:
- Environmental performance data reporting as required by both the Provincial and Federal governments, with accuracy and timeliness
- Development and implementation of environmental standards and managing systems for the site, resulting in responsible environmental performance and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Maintaining site documentation of overview and detailed regulatory compliance directories
- Environmental protection and regulatory compliance efforts at the site through internal managing systems
- Routine Environmental field inspections/ surveys
- Process safety engineering support, such as safety relief system review, and process safety data analysis
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Studying to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- Available for a work term beginning in early May 2023
- Currently enrolled in a University Engineering program and returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skill
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
- Commitment to safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for all roles
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment.
- Valid driver’s license

Eligibility to work in Canada
