Co-Op/Intern Upgrade and Migration Specialist
Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada
Term length: 12 months starting January 2024
About the Team
As a member of our Upgrades & Migration team under the Global Customer Care group, you will provide responsive technical support to our customers and perform a range of operational activities from managing customer upgrade projects to resolving product or service issues.
What you will do
- Assist in the coordination of product updates or upgrades to our customers environments
- Conduct negotiations and influence others while being flexible and adaptable
- Assist in the creation and communicate of maintenance windows to external and internal audiences
- Implement and validate change log evidence to ensure accuracy
- Management of support case and knowledge bases articles
- Coordinate change introduction on Windows based platform with exposure to Data center maintenance
- Create and assist in analyzing Analytic Comparison report as part of a quarterly patch management program
- Attend weekly support meetings to stay advised of changes and alert the broader team to issues that may impact them
- Must adhere to all security and confidentiality requests for this position
- May perform additional projects upon request
What we are looking for
- Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong research and troubleshooting skills are required
- Solid working knowledge of the Windows environments
