JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of International Finance
The Mondivan Group is looking for a proven, focused and driven business professional with a passion for the continuous improvements for the company and its financial department. Reporting to the Senior Vice Presidents, the Director of International Finance will anlayse, review, maintain as well as establish financial functions within the company with a focus on international relationships.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure international contractual relationships and agreements are maintained, reconciled and upheld;
- Facilitate and establish international financial dealings as needed;
- Prepare monthly reports on updates and changes to any financial functions;
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/state and municipal laws relating to the financial functions including but not limited to Canada and British Columbia government agencies;
- Collaborate with the executive group to financial model, analyse and develop financial processes and transactions;
- Ensure the group of companies’ key data is collected, maintained and organized;
- Collaborate with non-Canadian corporate partners on existing and new financial transactions;
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities across the company and its systems, making recommendations and implementing process changes;
- Assist the Controller with financial statements and documents in preparation for compliance and audit both locally and internationally;
- Participate in other monthly reporting and ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in a managerial capacity;
- Degree in Finance or Accounting is required;
- International financial experience is required, with experience in East Asia or South East Asia considered an asset, specifically any understanding of financial functions in Hong Kong, China, Singapore or Japan;
- Financial experience and/or understanding of Canadian and American financial systems is required;
- High level of proficiency with Excel modelling, variance analysis and expert level financial analytical skills are required;
- Experience with Slack, Monday.Com, Zoom, and/or Egnyte Cloud File Servers is an asset;
- Working professional proficiency (verbal and writing) in English is required;
- Strong and strategic communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Robust decision-making skills along with integrity and confidentiality is essential for this role;
