Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and driven self-starter for a 4-month term. This role will provide the successful candidate with valuable exposure to various aspects of running a large-scale construction project, including the administrative functions related to Project Management, Safety and Quality. Typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Estimating, Design, Scheduling, Compliance Review, Procurement, Project Tracking, Change Order Preparation, Drafting of Project-Related Invoices, Safety and Quality reports and related documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current student studying or completed coursework or practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong aptitude for Electrical and Mechanical understanding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and online research
- Valid Driver’s license
Desired Experience:
- Candidates with coursework or experience in the construction of Generation, Distribution or Transmission projects for electric utility providers will be preferred.

Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Nanaimo, BC V9X 1T4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
