Term: Permanent, Part-Time (9 weeks)
Job Summary
Your role as the Worship Planning Intern is to work with the worship and arts team to plan and facilitate opportunities for our community to experience the presence of God. In collaboration with the worship + arts team, you will plan services both within and outside our building. You will plan and lead/co-lead the worship beach nights: July 4 and August 15; plan and review Sunday services over the summer months and beyond and creatively engage music with the community to use your artistic passions to serve our neighbors. This internship is a unique opportunity to share your gifts of music and leadership with our community and to learn from the wider team.
Eligibility
The position of Worship Planning Intern is part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. Eligible candidates for this position must be 15-30 years old at the start of their employment and must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Responsibilities
- Participates in staff meetings, team meetings, weekly Wednesday and Sunday rehearsals
- Leads/co-leads teams for Sunday services, Kingdom Come beach worship nights and other special services
- Involved in planning worship services and scheduling teams
- Empowers others to bring music to the community through creative initiatives like outdoor music, songwriting opportunities, etc.
- Provides leadership for summer beach worship nights
Skills + Experience
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to work in a team setting
- Has the ability to plan a thoughtful worship set and lead a band in rehearsal and a Sunday service
- Previous experience with Planning Center, planning a worship service and leading a band
- Minimum a few years of experience with singing on a worship team and leading/co-leading a team
- Ability to play an instrument and/or lead vocally with proficiency

- May require successful criminal record background check, and vulnerable sector check and reference
