The Centre for Expertise Intern will assist the committee in developing the Center for Expertise in Inclusive Post-secondary Education. Reporting to the Executive and with mentorship from a committee comprised of Post-secondary Education Faculty, the intern will help to develop a research and knowledge mobilization strategy.
30 hours/week

Deliverables:
- Complete a literature review on inclusive post-secondary education.
- Promote the center within academic communities in BC and across Canada
- Research funding opportunities for research and knowledge translation/sharing events.
- Assist with current grant and research projects.
Desired Skills:
- Course work in the areas of research methodology, social justice and community building.
- Personal commitment to inclusion, including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of principles for Universal Design for Learning.
- Knowledge of the Post-secondary Landscape in BC.
This position is funded through the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Initiative. The successful candidate must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the time of the start of employment.
