Position Summary: Are you obsessed with social media, content creation and beauty? If yes, this role is for you! Working in a fun, fast paced and “beautiful” industry, the Digital Marketing Intern (6-Month, Full-Time Temporary Contract) is a supporting role to the Digital team. This role is highly creative, and will be supporting with social media content creation, posting and moderation. This role will also be involved in other day-to-day marketing activities including PR, Brand Partnerships and Analytics/Reporting in Canada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (will include but are not limited to)
· Working closely with the digital team, this role will help brainstorm, create, publish and moderate social media content, including copywriting.
· At least 2 days a week (Saturday & Sunday), this role will be the brand’s community manager, posting content, responding to and engaging fans in conversation on Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
· Assist with all aspects of content creation, including filming, hosting, set-up/tear down, and photo/video editing
· Must be comfortable being on camera
· Research and brainstorm content ideas, trending content, trending sounds, social media best practices, brand partnerships and PR send ideas
· Support in customer service on all social channels, responding to and fielding concerns
· Support in tracking metrics and creating reports for campaigns/promotions/social media/etc
· Support PR Team to coordinate and execute all press and influencer sends and ad hoc shipping requests
· Support PR Team in analyzing influencer trends and data, and researching/ scouting potential talent
· Organize and maintain inventory of the PR/Digital stock
· Support in the organization and execution of press/influencer events
· Source materials and on-brand supplies for PR sends, events and activations, including quotes from vendors and suppliers
· Maintain Marketing supplies (tokens of appreciation, product, décor) in the back storage room
· Stay up-to-date and report on latest social media trends & industry news, sharing updates with the larger Marketing team
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Work week is Wednesday through Sunday, hybrid model with 1-2 days in office (or as needed)
· Creative and innovative personality that loves to create social media content, and has a passion for the beauty industry
· Deep understanding of social media platforms and best practices
· Design experience in creative software such as Adobe Suite and/or Canva
· Not camera-shy! Comfortable appearing on @BenefitCanada social channels
· Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative and is flexible at the drop of a hat
· Strong attention to detail, quick and resourceful, with excellent time management and organization
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to pack and lift large boxes & supplies
· Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Graduate or currently enrolled in post-secondary education specializing in Marketing and/or Communications is an asset

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
