IT Operations @ Wealthsimple
We have a high-performing IT team, one that is offering the critical daily support we all need. They’re looking for a talented new person, someone who can help keep the desktop fleet well-oiled and provide any necessary related services. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team, as the additional tech support for Wealthsimplers! Their focus will be on expanding our PC lineup, as well as helping serve WS’s laptop fleet of Macs, in multiple locations. This role offers the right person the opportunity to help guide Wealthsimple's IT division in its mission to make our lives better, and simpler! Please note this role will be located in Toronto and hybrid as that's where our IT Ops team is based.
Internships @ Wealthsimple
At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, recent grads, and career changers. During your remote-first internship, you will be able to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth and provides mentorship while also connecting to the broader Wealthsimple community!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and inventory Wealthsimple's fleet of Mac's and PC's
- Provide Wealthsimplers with top-notch technical and moral support, escalating when necessary
- Troubleshoot AV equipment such as Video Conferencing hardware and Apple TV’s
- Help to develop and maintain technical documentation and processes
- Build relationships and trust both with the immediate team as well as our internal customers
- Proactively identify opportunities to make things better
We are looking for someone who:
- Has exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical folks
- Plans, organizes, and schedules in an efficient, productive manner
- Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and copes effectively with complexity and change
- Has knowledge of Mac/PC
- Is familiar with A/V and remote presence technologies (eg. Zoom VC) and productivity suites such as G Suite or Office 365
- Is eager to teach and learn from your team. We value making each other successful!
