Know our team
Nutrition International's Business Development (BD) unit is a diverse team of dedicated professionals with extensive global experience in resource mobilization and non-profit fundraising for international development. The unit leads, coordinates, and supports funding identification and positioning, grant acquisition, and relationship cultivation processes with institutional and private donors and implementing partners. The BD unit works closely with other teams across the organization to grow and diversify resources for Nutrition International's global strategy and Investment Case. The BD team is located in Nutrition International's Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, with dedicated counterparts within our Regional Offices in Africa and Asia. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for the temporary summer position of Information & Data Systems Officer to be based in Ottawa, Canada.
About the role
This is an entry-level position that can lead to various growth opportunities within the organization and help you acquire new skills. In this position, you will assist in the development, input, and organization of the program information databases and other systems to support the Business Development unit at Nutrition International:
Duties and Responsibilities:
1- Development of databases
Assist in the development of data entry, data curation, and reporting for, existing databases:
- Pipeline of business opportunities and donor-funded opportunities
- Tracking relationships with partners and donors
This will require supporting the BD Officer to:
- Work with end-users to clarify needs for databases
- Update and improve any Power BI and/or PowerApps aspects of the databases
- Troubleshoot any user issues
- Support in data entry/data-cleaning
2- Optimization of BD SharePoint Page
This will require supporting the BD Officer to:
- Work with end-users to clarify structure needs
- Develop processes, tools, and methods to implement SharePoint optimization
- Integrate forms, reports, and visualizations in SharePoint
- Troubleshoot any user issues
- Support in data entry/data-cleaning
3- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

About you
