Reddit’s Emerging Talent program is ready for our next cohort of interns, and we are in search of a
Communication Intern, Social Media to join us this summer. The Social Media team manages all @Reddit handles across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Linkedin and on Reddit itself!

At Reddit, You'll Get To
- Work on projects that impact the business. You’ll play an essential role in supporting and contributing to key communications strategies and initiatives across the Social Media team’s portfolios.
- Be mentored by experienced and passionate Communications professionals. From companies big and small, you'll work with Communications professionals of many different experiences and levels.
- Contribute to the betterment of Reddit by monitoring social platforms for Reddit mentions and industry topics, identifying social media trends Reddit can act upon across varying platforms, helping brainstorm editorial content for all brand accounts and drafting copy and assets for our organic social media presence.
- Work remotely or come to work at our New York office, complete with catered lunch, free snacks, and easy access to downtown NYC. Due to the hands-on nature of this internship (you’ll be helping create original content), the Social Media team would prefer candidates to come into the NYC office a few days per week. ( Subject to change based on safety guidelines created due to the global health pandemic )
- Continue making Reddit history as a part of our next intern class. Be a part of a new community, earn some Reddit swag and get to know the city during sponsored outings over the course of the summer.
Required Qualifications
- Actively working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
- Graduating between December 2023 and June 2024, with less than 2 years of relevant communications or media professional work experience
- You love interacting with new people and are comfortable working within a team environment
- You exhibit attention to detail through strong organizational and time management skills
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You’re passionate about social media, storytelling, and communications
- You have a firm grasp of social media channels and content creation
- You’re over the age of 18 and authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- You love interacting with new people
- You are familiar with the Reddit platform
- You enjoy creative thinking and brainstorming with others
- You have exposure to Google Workspace and social media management platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc)
- You have experience with photo or video editing (Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, etc.)
- You’re involved in student organizations or relevant programs (advertising agency, brand, media, etc.)
Pay Transparency: The base pay range for this position is: $36 - $39/hour.
