The University Campus Store is looking for innovative, energetic, and team-oriented individuals to join our team. We have been part of the University for over 100 years and serve a large and diverse campus community. The Campus Store is seeking a Creative Marketing Intern to support the internal marketing needs of the Campus Store. This dynamic position will support the stores internal buying and management team, contributing to designing projects to support the strategic design, implementation and optimization of our various marketing channels, both in store, our webstore and through social media channels. This internship will help prepare for a career in design by offering: exposure to creative project workflow, the opportunity to build your design skills on real projects, experience with time management using diverse media and tools in a multi-office environment, exposure to working with outside vendors, and the ability to design, plan and implement marketing campaigns and promotions throughout the Campus Stores brick and mortar and on-line stores.

Successful candidates have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within their field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Is dedicated to training and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Understands and supports the mission of the University and the Campus Store.
Design and produce graphics for various promotions including flyers, signage, email, social and web assets.
Collaborate with the marketing team and on design solutions for digital assists, including web banners, social media posts, etc.
Design print documents such as flyers, coupons, and other collateral
Work together/experiment to create new ideas for interactive design materials
Research as needed
Provide support on production tasks as assigned
Must be a current University of Utah student.
Candidates will be expected to understand the following systems: Photography, Photoshop and HTML
Experience/interest in video and photography directing/production
Strong written communication and copywriting skills
Preference will be given to students with related technical coursework and/or professional experience.
Excellent attention to detail and creative eye or aesthetics in color and typography.
Energetic self-starter who is able to work well in a small team and independently.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to create great working relationships.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.
