You’re a self-starter who enjoys working with others and have been known to have a great “chemistry” with your coworkers. You adapt to new priorities with ease and possess strong interpersonal skills.You pay close attention to details and you are continuously observant, thorough, and reliable.
As the Process Engineer Co-op, you’ll use your prior lab experience and education to process testing crosschecks and complete performance monitoring. You’ll also be a catalyst, calibrating the new process testing equipment for our pulp products. Using your attention to detail, you’ll conduct appropriate analysis and accurate data collection - no “Pulp-Fiction” here!
You will gain practical experience in various aspects of Chemical Engineering by helping with various sample collecting and assisting with the statistical analysis/modeling work on the optical fiber properties.
In a perfect world, you are currently enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Program. You have already mastered Microsoft Office and have strong PC skills. Previous pulp mill experience or other industrial experience will certainly “magnify” your application but is not needed to move forward.
