
Job description
Imperial is offering trading internships to 3rd or 4th year students working in our Crude Oil Supply and Marketing (“COSM”) team. COSM is responsible for managing the marketing, logistics, and trading of Imperial’s crude oil portfolio. As an intern in COSM you will be working on real business projects and will have the opportunity to develop skills and to build a solid understanding of crude markets, logistics and trading. Your responsibilities will include providing analysis of opportunities, markets, trading performance, and risk and other project work alongside our trading / scheduling teams and management.
Qualifications
Academic
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, or finance
- Interested in supply chain optimization, trading and business strategy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
- Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
- Solid proficiency in the use of computers and Office software (Microsoft Suite). Use of database programs, Tableau, SAP and proficiency in R, Python or similar data languages would be an asset.
