Are you the person we are looking for? As a successful student candidate, you will be a member of a dedicated, passionate group which supports and improves the QNX® product safety. Working in tandem with the product development, design, and core engineering teams, your role will provide you with exciting opportunities to learn about functional safety in software, software system engineering, learn about requirement engineering, workings of Real-time operating systems, and how to ensure safety of the QNX products including operating system and hypervisor. What you will do: - Work with software development team and perform safety analysis on the QNX products - help with requirement engineering (SRS) of the embedded software - Perform various modelling techniques to software to find safety impacting bugs - learn and help implement projects as per automotive industry software standards like ISO 26262 standard etc. - develop embedded software as per Safety - Software Development Life-Cycle - help automate functional safety activities using python What you will need: - Knowledge of C, C++ - Knowledge and interest on workings of Operating System - Experience with embedded systems - Knowledge of Software Requirement Specifications (writing software/system requirements) - Experience in python programming - knowledge of git and subversion (version control) software Additional Skills - Experience with JAMA (Requirement Management Tools) - Experience with Jira (Change Management Tool) - Experience with ISO or other certification processes Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 BlackBerry (NYSE: BB; TSX: BB) is a trusted security software and services company that provides enterprises and governments with the technology they need to secure the Internet of Things.
