The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Your responsibilities
- Assist in development of future cell layouts and moves – CAD Layouts
- Assist in process improvements and cost reduction projects
- Assist Mfg. Engineers with design and implementation of fixtures, tooling, accessories, etc.
- Assist in development of new equipment and processes to include: procurement, justification, specifications, runoffs, installs, startup and debug, MOC/PMOC
- Assist in Mfg. Engineers with creating Manufacturing Instructions, Standard Work & Training Documents
- Participate in Lean manufacturing teams
- Conduct time studies and help with routings
- Data entry and maintenance of engineering items within SAP operating system
- Assist in development of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
- Confer with engineers, production personnel, maintenance, or others to resolve machine problems or malfunctions
- Must be able to work effectively with operators and other manufacturing support staff to solve problems and improve productivity
- Support all company initiatives and policies including: Safety, Quality, Operational Excellence, etc
Your background
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university in the study of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
