As a Summer Associate Intern with Hines, you will assist senior management with all aspects of real estate development, asset management and acquisition projects, such as site selection, financial modelling, underwriting, programmatic design and construction. Additional tasks could include asset management of existing properties and feasibility analysis of potential projects.
- Help identify new market opportunities and perform feasibility, economic and financial analyses
- Participate in the asset management of properties by overseeing leasing, capital projects, and tenant/investor relations
- Monitor project budgets and schedules for significant variances
- Assist in negotiating leases, joint venture documents, loan documents, and construction contracts, which includes working closely with legal counsel in review of documents
- Market projects to investors and make certain that all project agreements are properly documented
- Serve as liaison and monitor the flow of information regarding projects among interested parties
- Work closely with personnel to design and implement a marketing plan for leasing, capital raises, or sales
- Serve as a member of various project teams as required to facilitate company needs
Minimum Requirements include:
- Two or more years related experience in a real estate or financial analysis role
- MBA strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree and related experience considered in lieu of post undergraduate studies
- Experience performing numerical and financial calculations and analysis
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to think creatively and contribute to project success
- Experience composing business letters, expositions, and reports, using proper format, punctuation, grammar, diction and style
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Argus proficiency is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
