Job Description
Huawei Canada is looking for a graduate intern, who is passionate to contribute to its cutting-edge wireless research. In this role, you will use machine learning and signal processing techniques to overcome some of the existing challenges in developing state-of-the-art technologies for next generation of wireless communication systems. You will actively collaborate with other team members and engage in technical discussions to perform productive research. The position is 6 months and based in Ottawa, Canada (in person or hybrid).

- Conducting research on 6G candidate technologies with emphasis on PHY layer
- Utilizing machine learning techniques to develop novel signal processing algorithms
- Performing simulation in Python to verify the developed solutions
- Must possess good communication and presentation skills and the desire to be part of a dynamic team
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Obtained or in pursuit of Ph.D. or Master in Electrical Engineering
- Solid background in digital communication theory and signal processing
- Familiar with machine learning, deep learning, and modern neural network structures
- Experienced in at least one of deep learning libraries in Python (Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch)
- Basic understanding of electromagnetic theory would be an asset
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
